Warranty Policy

Stones is committed to the high quality and integrity of our work. The majority of our pieces come with an included warranty. This warranty includes the stones and setting of the piece and does not expire. We will still fix any of our jewellery with damage or loss not covered under warranty at the cost of repair to us.

A copy of the original receipt is ideal in ensuring the utilization of your warranty is a smooth process, however we do keep all clients purchase records on file and can find your transaction with a bit of key information provided.

Certain exclusions apply to this warranty:

  1. Sensitive Stones: Center stones that are not warrantied from chemical damage or rough wear are: Pearls, Emeralds, Opals, Jade, Amber, Turquoise, Lapis Lazuli, Coral, Malachite, Tanzanite, Beryls, Ammolite, Rhodochrosite, Moonstone, & Zoisites. These stones require special care and are not meant for every day wear in all conditions. However, all of these will still be covered under our cost-to-repair policy as described above.

  2. Italian Goods: Some of our imported Italian gold pieces also have exclusions. Due to their fine handworked designs and unique craftsmanship, a damaged piece can become irreparable. We vow to always try our best to assist in fixing these pieces.

  3. Loss of Stones Due to Lack of Maintenance: While small stones can become lost even with the best of care, large stones over 0.50ct in a well made setting should rarely have issues if cared for properly. Even if a larger stone is lost we will still typically replace it under warranty, however the setting will be subject to inspection prior to service. This inspection is done to ensure the loss or damage did not occur from neglect of basic ring maintenance, such as claw tightening. If the warranty will not cover the damage or loss a Stones team member will inform the purchaser before any work is done. In this case the work could be done under the cost-to-repair policy as described above.
  4. Transfer of Warranty: Typically proof of being the original purchaser of a ring is required to claim it's warranty. However certain situations require case by case examination. These cases can involve gifting or inheriting a piece. While usually not necessary, proof of acquisition may be required to enact the warranty by someone other than the original purchaser.

Our most important policy is to treat each case individually. No two jewellery pieces are the same and no two owners are either.
